16 Acts of Kindness You Can Do Today

If there is one thing I have learned in life it's that positive actions produce positive thoughts.
Therefore, here is a list a random acts of kindness that you can do today!

1. Make breakfast for your housemates.

2.  Tell somebody they look nice.

3. Hold the door.

4. Say "please" and "thank you" and really mean it.

5. Bring a friend coffee.

6. Say "Good morning" to the person next to you on the elevator or the person walking up the stairs behind you.

7. Ask somebody you don't normally talk to "How are you?" and mean it.

8. Pay for the person behind you at the drive-thru.

9. Run an errand for someone.

10. Call your parents and tell them you love them.

11. Fold your roommates laundry.

12. Leave a funny or kind note in an unexpected place.

13. Leave coins at the vending machine.

14. Put a positive comment on somebody's Facebook status.

15. Compliment someone in the service industry and tell his or her boss.

Nobody Nooks

Hungry? Find a Nobody Nook!

One of my absolute favorite things to do with my boyfriend is to find cheap restaurants that nobody knows much about! They're the best because not only are they cheap dates, but they are fun! Annnnd we get to experience something new each time!

Obviously I do not know where my readers are from, but, the best restaurants are usually family owned.

Here is a list of some of my favorite crannys:
Kens Country Kitchen
Wildflower
The Country Inn
(insert name here) Coney Island

Don't stop there! This idea works with Coffee shops and small family stores too!

Here is a list of great family owned coffee shops across the US:
Talia Espresso
Waterstreet Coffee joint
Angel's Island Coffee
Andina Cafe
Coffee Cottage Coffee House

^ I think you get the idea!

What Would You Do?

What would you do if you knew you only had months to live?

Zach Sobiech was diagnosed with a terminal form of cancer at the age of fourteen. Zach passed away yesterday, May 20th, but his story will live on forever.

Starting Point

Starting Point

After going through a series of events in my life, I have learned how to conquer even the darkest of times. In the midst of all the bad, I have been able to find the good in those situations. I wanted to start a blog about being happy, and why life should be appreciated... even when we think it stinks.  I want everyone to know that there is still good in the world, and that life is beautiful. So please, enjoy my daily posts, as I hope I can make your life just a little bit brighter one day at a time.
